I had drawn this image in my drawing sketchbook for class and since we were not allowed to use colour yet I decided to colour it on the computer. I used "openCanvas version 3" but it was just a trial version. Also, in that class we are not allowed to draw cartoony things or as she said, "No happy bunny pictures." So yeah... I decided to try and draw Kikyo more realistic looking... but um... I still think she looks cartoony... hehe ^o^"'!
Oh and I decided to post the full size version of the picture too. I sent my picture to another site, TheOtaku, but I had to shrink the size of the picture so that the site could accept it. I personally like the full size version of the picture just because you can see the detail clearer, but maybe that is just me... I don't know... I may end up sending in the smaller version ~_~".
I'm usually (read: never ) a fan of Inuyasha fanart unless it really differs from the norm (how you say, happy bunnies ... ), but this is really good. ^^ The texture of the wood and the natural-ness of her arms really stand out to me. Though I think the arrow might be too short to shoot. XD Anyways, good job! I like this style. Squeebles.

WOW so real looking! I like it a lot. That suxs that you can't draw cartoons my visual art teacher took my drawing of pretty girl in a kimonio(sp? u know the Japanese dresses) and hung it up on the wall. I really want it back *growls*. So she doesn't care if we draw cartoons, but she likes realisitic better ugh. Great work i like it even though i don't like Kikyo that much, but you draw her really good! ^O^
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features brand new selected high quality art products that caught our eyes. Check out the cutting edge prints some of your fellow artists have submitted in the past week!
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example.
